The Nature Photography
of Anna Burrows
I have lived in Upstate New York my entire life, the forest is a second home for me. Nature inspires and calms me. As early as the age of seven I was fascinated with photography, playing with any camera I could get my hands on. Later on I began to use my father’s old Kodak Signet 35mm. Camera for my climbs in the Adirondacks. I soon realized it’s limitations and began to search for a better way to capture my adventures. When I was a teenager my grandmother gave me my Canon Rebel and I have never looked back.
My favorite shots are the more challenging ones. I love to kayak, so finding unique shots from the water is my favored state of being. I attempt to paddle out to the most remote locations I can find and seek out wildlife. Blue herons are my main focus, as I am still searching for that ultimate close-up with my telephoto lens. I have kayaked on many rivers in the Adirondacks as well as upstate New York enjoying the serenity and nature around me (as well as the occasional not-so-calm water…). Photography allows me to share such feelings of inner peace. I wish everyone could experience the amazing rush of catching an eagle in flight while cruising down a river, or finding moose tracks on a walk through the forest.
My photography is available as a single print, matted, or matted and framed. I also sell greeting cards with my photos on the cover.
